Julie Wester has practiced vipassana meditation since 1973 and has led retreats since 1985. Her teaching reflects her training with Ruth Denison, whose pioneering approach to vipassana meditation incorporates guided movement and sensory exploration with the silent retreat setting. She is affiliated with Spirit Rock Meditation Center.
