3 causes of kamma

The Three root causes of the origination of (negative) kamma:

1. Greed, attachment, craving (lobha), (tanhā)

2. Hatred, aversion (dosa), (virodha)

3. Delusion, ignorance, (moha), (avijja)

(from Digha Nikaya 33; English and Pali terms in bold, others are synonyms)
