Six qualities that make one able to hear and practice the Dhamma:
1. He is not endowed with a [present] kamma obstruction
2. A defilement obstruction is not present
3. There is no [past] kamma obstruction
4. He is endowed with conviction
5. He has desire [to listen]
6. He has good discernment
