Six qualities that make one incapable of hearing and practicing the Dhamma:
1. He is endowed with a [present] kamma obstruction
2. A defilement obstruction
3. A result of [past] kamma obstruction
4. He lacks conviction
5. He has no desire [to listen]
6. He has dull discernment
