It is no surprise that Asia holds the highest number of Buddhists, both in number and in percentage. About 60% to 75% of Asia is Buddhist. The Buddha rediscovered the Dhamma (i.e., Buddhism) in India, which is in the heart of Asia. From there, Buddhism spread first to the many lands and islands of Asia.
