Laurence Mills (formerly Bhikkhu Khantipalo) (1932-2021) ordained a Buddhist monk in the late 1950s in India. He studied meditation in India and Thailand until 1973, when he arrived in Australia. In 1978 he co-founded (with Ayya Khema) Wat Buddha Dhamma, where he served for many years as teacher-in-residence. He later returned to the lay life and co-founded the Bodhi Citta Buddhist Centre.
