Surameraya-majja-pamadatthana

Surāmeraya-majja-pamādatthānā veramanī sikkhāpadam samādiyāmi: I take upon myself the vow to abstain from taking intoxicants and drugs such as wine, liquor, etc. since they lead to moral carelessness.; This is the wording of the last of the 5 moral rules see: Sikkhapada binding on all Buddhists.
