The Circle of Friends Meditation Group is an Interspiritual Mindfulness Meditation and Study Group that offers sitting practice in the style of Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Thich Nhat Hanh.

We study and discuss teachings from all spiritual paths and traditions. Just a few of the teachers we have read and discussed are Thomas Merton (Trappist Monk and Mystic); Wayne Teasdale (Catholic Monk and Mystic as well as a Christian Sannyasi, i.e., a Christian monk in the East Indian monastic tradition); and Thich Nhat Hanh (Mystic, Zen Master, Teacher, and Poet). We also enjoy the teachings of Edgar Cayce, Deepak Chopra, Gary Zukav, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Bear Heart, Don Miguel Ruiz, and Dick Sutphen.

At various times throughout the month, we sit in Healing Circle and/or Dream Circles.

The bell of mindfulness sounds at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesdays at Balance Bodywork, 740 Thompson Lane, Nashville, TN 37204. Discussion will follow for those who wish to stay. Meditation attendance is free. Dana (donation) is lovingly accepted for the sitting space lovingly provided to us at no charge.
